I know many people that suffer with low self-confidence, including myself. And when a person feels that way, it can really mess up your life. When it comes to relationships, you constantly need reassuring that this guy/girl likes you because you’re always wondering why they’re with you. On a night out with friends, you might feel slightly down in the dumps when it comes to dolling up because compared to your friends, you’re a solid 6 while they’re sliding in to double figures. This is me to a T and you know what? It’s time to stop. Here’s some top tips I’ve told myself recently that I’m going to live by that I think would do you the world of good too if you feel the same way.

1. Avoid Negative Thoughts & Self-Talk

Instead, tell yourself you’re a boss ass bitch who can and will succeed in everything she/he does because you’re a champ who works hard and deserves all the goodness in the world. I gotcha, boo 😉

2. Surround Yourself With Positive People

Let’s face it, you hang around with negative people, you’ll be a negative person. It’s just natural. Say goodbye to those people who bring you down and hello to the hard working, postive, want-to-do-well-in-life people. You’ll soon see the impact it has on you, even if you’re not feeling so positive yourself.

3. Take Care Of Number One

That means you pal. You’re priority, you’re the boss, you’re number one. No, I don’t mean be an awful human to everyone else, I just mean, your feelings come first. It also means maintaining a healthy lifestyle. DRINK WATER! It’s actually good for you, you know. Go for walks, spend time at the beach, sea salt is great for your skin and hair which again, will result in you feeling even more boss.

4. Don’t Change For Anyone

Seriously, we’ve all been there. A new guy/girl walks into your life and you start acting…not yourself. We all do it. We don’t even know we’re doing it, yet we keep telling ourselves to act human and stay true to who you are. If someone doesn’t like you for who you are, then they aren’t worth it. Um, bye.

5. Challenge Yourself

Instead of wondering what could have been, push yourself to be able to say I worked hard to get here. Whether that’s wondering if you can pass a course at college or maybe even pushing yourself at work to climb the career ladder. There’s nothing worse than feeling you’re not good enough to be able to do something. You are. All you have to do is challenge yourself and tell yourself you can do it and that you’re not going to stop until you’ve succeeded.

6. Stop Procrastinating

Even if it’s something as small as doing your room. I don’t know about you but I feel so much better in myself when have a clean and tidy bedroom. It makes me feel organised and grown up. Stop putting off doing things, it’ll make you feel so much better. Trust me.

7. Relax

The most important thing to do is relax. You’re doing great. If you follow those tips above, relaxing will come naturally. Do breathing exercises to help, they help me.

Just don’t forget, you only get one life. No re-runs or re-takes. This is the big scene baby and you’re the star, so start acting like it. (See what I did there) Drink loads of waters and keep smiling.
