Skincare is a must for women, but most men are also complaining about their oily skin or dry skin. However, skincare is not only important for looking good but also for staying healthy. There are certain things that affect our skin like skin type, seasonal changes, malnutrition, smoking and makeup. But we can minimize these effects with some precautions.

Rose Water and Mineral Water Are the Best Skin Care Products

Skincare, in general, is cleaning up your skin. This cleaning includes unclogging pores and reviving the skin but the steps vary greatly between skin types. There are five skin types in general:

  • Normal Skin
  • Oily Skin
  • Combination Skin
  • Sensitive Skin
  • Dry Skin

If you ignore skin cleaning for a long time, your skin gets thicker and won’t be able to breathe eventually. To begin with, you need to wash your skin with creamy soap or olive oil soap if you have dry skin. Later, a special tonic lotion must be applied to revive your skin. There are many tonic lotion products in the stores but if you don’t want to use what you don’t know or if you want to go with natural way, you may also use rose water and mineral water as a tonic lotion.

Finally, the only thing left would be moisturizing your clean skin. Common moisturizers are going to be enough for normal skin type while acne-prone skin requires moisturizers with fruit acids. Another great way to get rid of dead skin is rubbing it using coarse cloth. Rub your skin with a coarse cloth or hand glove while having a steamy bath, steam will soften dead skin and rubbing will remove them and unclog pores.

Should You Use Cologne As Aftershave?

Hard soaps are one of the factors behind the dry skin. So as I said before, you might want to use creamy or olive oil soap just to prevent it. You might be using cologne just to freshen up or as an aftershave but cologne has a high alcohol content. But actually, it is not a good idea. Even if alcohol can be used as a disinfectant it might also dry your skin out. So using aftershave instead of cologne would be a better choice.
