The very first Comic-Con was held in a basement in 1970 but a lot has changed since then. Now these are huge organizations with thousands of attendees every year.
Just like every year, March of 2018 brought all of the comic & pop culture fans around the world together at Emerald City Comic-Con.
Apart from buying t-shirts of your favorite superhero, Emerald City Comic-Con also bring fans together with surprise guests (usually from TV shows), holds a contest to determine the best cosplayers and arrange panels. These organizations are usually great opportunities to meet fellow fans, connect with people who share the same interest.
But of course the real reason behind all of this is cosplayers. People do their best to be a duplicate of their favorite characters and thanks to these activities, people get to wear the costume of their superhero without being weirded out.
