  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup poppy seeds
  • 1 cup minced walnuts
  • 1 egg yolk
  • oil

Add flour, salt, yeast and sugar in a big pot or where you want to knead the dough and add warm water. Water amount may vary, we want our dough soft. Set aside the dough in a warm for about an hour or until it doubles in size.

Soften the poppy with enough amount of oil.

After the dough rises, take a piece of it over the table and start rolling out until it gets thin.

Spread oil-poppy mixture over the rolled dough with minced walnuts.

Roll the dough into a log shape.

Slice the roll-ups into 1-inch pieces, then place them on the tray.

Apply the egg yolk over the top and bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for about 15 minutes or until their tops get brown.
