Fried Cauliflower

There are many recipes in many websites but many of them lack sauce but in this recipe, the most important part is the sauce and yogurt so if you have tried fried cauliflower before and didn’t like it, this recipe will change your mind.


  • 3 medium eggs
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt (for mixture)
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of salt (for yogurt)
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon chili flake (or powder)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon butter


Remove the outer leaves of the cauliflower but we don’t recommend to throw it away because it is very beneficial, you can use it for some other purpose; also slice the stem off. Divide cauliflower into big pieces using a knife. Cook them in water until pieces become slightly soft. We don’t want it to be too soft because we will fry it as well and we don’t want to overcook it. After cooking, divide the cauliflower into small pieces using a knife.

Add 3 eggs, 4 cups flour and 2 teaspoons salt into a pot and whisk them completely. Cover cauliflower pieces with this mixture. Heat vegetable oil in a pan and start to fry cauliflower until they turn into brown.

Crush the garlic and add it to yogurt with a teaspoon of salt, then mix them together.

Melt the butter in a pan and wait until it starts to change its color to golden brown. After that point, add tomato paste and chili flake and continue cooking. Add 1/3 cups water into sauce to make it more liquid and continue cooking for a while.

While serving it, pour yogurt with garlic on cauliflower pieces first, and then sauce. So sauce must be on top.
